Familia opens first store outside Russia

The Russian off-price chain Familia has opened its first store outside the Russian Federation, initiating its expansion abroad in a CIS country with a store in downtown Minsk, the capital of the Republic of Belarus.

The store is located in one of the most popular malls, the Galleria Minsk, covers about 1,500 square meters, and operates in the traditional format of the company: a wide range of clothing, shoes, accessories, and household goods from famous international and local brands at discounts of up to 85% all in one large space.

"We have been successfully operating in Russia for 20 years, opening new stores and visiting new cities, adding new product groups and brands, and increasing the speed at which goods are purchased and delivered. The results of our activities, the competence of the Familia team, and the growing trend of rational consumption are encouraging us to move into a new stage of development, making expansion into other countries a logical next step," says Familia CEO Svetlana Mozhaeva.
